January Brides, January Weddings…Why It’s A Good Month To Get Married

We know traditionally May, June, September, October, so basically spring and fall are your high wedding seasons and winter fall on the way side. But to me, there are many advantages to it being as not popular a season to get married:

1. You’ll have your pick of dates – many dates in winter are open for weddings more than any other season
2. With that, hopefully with wedding vendors as well – venue, photographer, caterer, etc, have more availability in the winter
3. You can expect the worst weather wise and prepare for it – it’s better to expect the worst like getting a really cold day or snow on your wedding day and to be blessed with a sunny beautiful winter day! But because it’s winter you know to expect the worst and so you are prepared.
4. And the season it should be a calmer and chill (excuse the pun) wedding. After Christmas, after all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, things feel to have settled down. It feels calmer, and that helps you feel more peaceful as well.
